Not Dead Yet

Sorry about the wait for this update but I have had alot on my plate. So here is my decree, if you ever go to Thailand you must go to Railey beach in Krabi. It is just true paridise. I would say that it is the most suclided place I have been so far. The only way that you can get here is by long boat from Krabi or Ao Nang. It is just great.

Yesterday I just finished my 3 day rock climbing course that was totally were them money. They teach you some many things. I know and hope to remember a bunch of knots and rope things. Also I have started to climbing alot more technically and can do alot hard routes then when I started.

One of the funnest / scariest thing I got to do was lead climbing. Thats where there is no rope ahead of you. YOu have to bring it up with you as you climb and clip it onto the rock as you go. And then the last thing i did was multi pitch climbing. Thats wher I climb up to one point and baly my partner from the top tell he climbs up to where I am. Then I go up farther and you repeat. When we were done we had climb up about 60 meters. Getting down, free rapelling. The hole course was wonderful.

During this week I have really noticed something. To me it looks like the solo backpacker is now part of a dieing breed. Since I arrived in Thailand, I have meet only one other solo traveller under the age of 25. All the traveller that are part of my generation seem to travell in large gangs, roming from beach to beach.
Now that is not to say that I have not meet any other solo-ers its gust that they are all in their early 30s.

So any ways just to let you all know I will be heading to Ko Tao tomorrow to start a diving course some time thing week. I dont think that I will be as tired after diving as I was rock climbing. But I am not making any promises. Could then end of the week before I do my next update.

Oh and I will be trying to get some pictures up here once I get back into the city.
