Mamamama Malaysia!
3 days left on the old Thai visa and I thought it was time to reset it. So here I am in sunny Malayia. What can a I say it's hot and sunny just like every other country in the area, but they do have high speed internet so that is a plus.
But really, there seems to a a sudle difference between these two countries. I am not sure what it really is but I think I am getting and idea. You see the Thai peopel are really nice, dont get me wrong went in comes done to it they still just want your money, but atleast they will take it with I smile. I have only been in Malaysia for a few hours but I do not get the same friendly vibe off the people here.
However me being me. I do have a hypothises fro this. Thailand is a country that gets alot of it money from tourism and it is set of extriemly well for it. The people getting most of their income from some form of tourism want the poeple to keep coming back and telling their freinds to come.
Now Mayalsai on the other hand has a very developed industry and is one of the wealthest countries in the reagion. They do not need toursim and some poeple do not want it, thus they do not need to try as hard to get poeople coming back.
Anyways those are my intial thought on the subject. Take it or leave it. Disagree with me will thats what the comment section is for so please speak freely, I have.

Level Up!
2 days and 5 dives later and now I am an advanced open water diver. I can now go to depths as far as 30 meters (The limit of recreational diving) and do night dives. To tell the truth I was a little disapointed with the deep dive. Dont get me wrong the ocean life was wonderful but I was hoping to feel a little drunk with the nitrogen narcosis, but I did not feel a thing. Unlike my diving partner who felt the effects alot. The instructor and i were laughting at her so much that our masks kepot filling up with water. It truelly was wonderful.

The Wonderful World Underwater
4 open water dives and a writen test and now I am fully cirtified to dive in open water. Itd hard to belive that 4 days has just passed. This scuba diving has to be one of the best investments of my money. Everytime I go under the water I get a thrill. And now I can go diving any time I want now. But I am only half done
Tomorrow myself and a nice Swedish girl start our advanced open water course. In this course there are 5 open water dives all cover different field in Scuba diving. There are many to choose from but these are the ones that we are doing.
1. Deep Dive - As the name suggest I will be doing a deep water dive. On a standard recreational dive or someone with only open water cert. should only go down to about 18 meters. With my deep dive course I will be able to dive as deep as 30 meters. I can wait, from what I have been told around 25 and 26 meters some people begin to feel the affects of nitrogen narcosis. This is not very dangerous in its own. You see what it does to you is make you drunk, but what makes it great is to sober up all you have to do is ascend a few meter and then you are fine. To demonstrate the effects they will have me do a kind of test on the surface and then again at around 29 meters and see what the time difference is. It is going to be really fun.
2. Nav. Dive - Again it is what the name suggests. I will learn the basics of navigating my way around under water. I will learn how to use compasses, boats, and even ripples in the sand to find out where I am going.
3. Peak Performance Diving - As you might know the most important thing in scuba diving is you buoyancy. In this dive they fine tune your skills so that you have no problem swimming around the ocean.
4. Night Dive – How do you think it would be to dive without sunlight to help orientate you. Wouldn’t it be great to see what kind of life comes out in a coral reef at night? I will learn all of these things in this dive.
5. Underwater Photography – I really don’t think this needs any explanation.
So that is what I have been up to and what I am going to be doing in the next few days. As for a little longer time I head. Well my visa will expire on the 9th of February. Once I am done diving I will head down to George Town in Malaysia and kick around there and see the sights on the island. Then I know some people that should be heading to Bangkok around the 15th so I will meet them there and then travel around for a bite with them. After that its up to Chang Mai to find a travel partner for Cambodia and Vietnam.
OK that should hold you all over for a bit. As for picture well you see I am not traveling with my laptop this time. I am finding is very hard to find places where I can upload my pictures to the internet. Infact I have yet to find a place that has a computer that recognizes my camera. Things would be so much easier if more people used Macs. (^_^)
